The Strzegom Commune, also known as the Strzegom Land, is located in the northern part of the Świdnica County in Lower Silesia. Overlooking the town stands the Minor Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, dating back to the 14th century, one of the largest and most beautiful examples of Gothic architecture in the region.
The historical landscape of Strzegom is enriched by medieval defensive walls, built between 1291 and 1299, parts of which have survived to this day, including the picturesque Beak Tower located in the Strzegom Planty Park. Another must-see is the former Carmelite monastery complex, now home to the "Karmel" Social Activity Center. Inside, visitors will find a Tourist Information Point and a small local museum, offering insights into the rich history of this land.
