Museum of Positivism in Golotczyzna - Branch of the Museum of Mazovian Nobility in Ciechanów

The manor and park complex with the Museum of Positivism in Golotczyzna is a special place on the historical map of Poland, which is part of the facilities of the Museum of Mazovian Nobility in Ciechanow. The place is beautiful not only because of its location and history, but also because of the prevailing tranquility and the opportunity to commune with nature and monuments. It is in Golotczyzna that there is the only museum in Poland closely associated with the Positivist period, thanks to such figures as Aleksander Swietochowski and Aleksandra Bakowska. It is also, located on its grounds, a unique complex of historic buildings, consisting of Aleksandra Bąkowska's mansion, Krzewnia 'Aleksander Swietochowski's House, a small nobleman's manor and farm premises. In them there are permanent exhibitions. All surrounded by a beautiful park of 6.42 hectares with old trees. It was here that the leading representative of positivism, known as the "Messenger of Truth" Aleksander Swietochowski planted rare species of trees and shrubs, shaping the park space that we can admire to this day. There is an intergenerational educational path guiding tourists through the park. It is also possible to reach the museum by the created 7 km. bicycle path connecting Golotczyzna with Ciechanow, which creates a very attractive historical-tourist route with a rich museum, cultural and recreational offer, increasing the attractiveness of the entire region. There is also a railroad station nearby.
