Mount Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania, is the highest mountain in Africa, standing at approximately 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level. It is a dormant stratovolcano composed of three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. Kilimanjaro is renowned for its stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and the iconic snow-capped summit that attracts climbers and adventurers from around the world.

The mountain is part of Kilimanjaro National Park, which was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a popular activity, with several established routes to the summit, including the Marangu, Machame, and Lemosho routes. The hike typically takes 5 to 10 days, depending on the chosen route and the climber's acclimatization process. Reaching the peak, known as Uhuru Peak, is a significant accomplishment for many trekkers and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
