Mgahinga National Park

Mgahinga National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda, sharing borders with the Virunga National Park in neighboring Rwanda and the Volcanoes National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Established in 1991, it is renowned for its stunning landscapes, featuring volcanic mountains and dense forests, as well as being one of the smallest national parks in Uganda. The park covers an area of approximately 33.7 square kilometers and is part of the larger Virunga Conservation Area.
