Kyiv, Misto

Kyiv, Misto (Kyiv City) is an administrative region in central Ukraine, encompassing the city of Kyiv and its immediate surroundings. It is one of 24 administrative regions of Ukraine, but due to its status as the capital, Kyiv has a special status of an administrative unit, equal to an oblast, but governed directly by the central government.

Kyiv, Misto encompasses the territory of the city of Kyiv itself and several surrounding towns. As a region, it is the political, economic, and cultural center of Ukraine. It is home to numerous government institutions, headquarters of international organizations, as well as educational and research centers.

The region is home to a variety of diverse areas, from the intensively urbanized urban zone to green areas such as parks, forests, and islands on the Dnieper River. Kyiv is also an important transport hub connecting Ukraine with other Eastern European countries.

Many residents of Kyiv come from different parts of Ukraine, making it one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse areas of the country. Moreover, Kyiv is not only an administrative center, but also an important industrial, technological and financial center, with developed infrastructure and a large number of international companies.
