New York

The state of New York is located in the northeastern part of the United States, bordered by Canada to the north, New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east, and has access to the Atlantic Ocean to the southeast.

The state is one of the 13 original states of the United States, and its capital is Albany. New York is one of the most populous states in the country, with over 19 million residents (according to 2020 estimates). It is also one of the most important states in terms of economy, politics and culture.

New York is characterized by great geographical diversity. Within its borders are, among others, the Adirondack Mountains, the Catskill Mountains, the Great Lakes, as well as the world-famous Niagara Falls. The state also has a large amount of agricultural land, and in its eastern part is the Hudson Valley, considered one of the most beautiful places in the USA.

New York is also one of the most important economic centers, especially in the finance, trade, technology and media sectors. Wall Street in New York (city) is the heart of the global financial market, and New York State as a whole has a large role in American industry and trade.

In terms of culture and education, New York offers many prestigious universities, museums (such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York) and theaters (e.g. Broadway), and also organizes numerous cultural events.
