The Kcynia municipality is one of five municipalities in the Nakiel district of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodeship. Beautifully located is the town of Kcynia itself, whose panorama delights those entering the town from all sides. It is undoubtedly the most picturesque town in the Paluki region, located on a moraine hill (136 meters above sea level). The municipality of Kcynia is an integral part of the historic region of Pałuki in northeastern Wielkopolska. It lies in the northern part of the Gniezno Lake District, which is part of the Wielkopolska Lakeland.
The Kcynia municipality is one of the largest in terms of area of municipalities in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, covering 29,702 ha. The municipality consists of the town and 54 villages. The municipality has a typically agricultural character. The interesting location of the municipality, the abundance of forest complexes, the town's rich historical past, historical monuments and the richness of the animal world and undergrowth encourage visitors to hunting, agro-tourism and recreation on individual farms. From Kcynia comes the world-famous scientist Jan Czochralski, whose method revolutionized the world of electronics. In the municipality there are, among others, the Museum of Nature and Hunting in Turzyn, the Clara Prill Municipal Cultural and Library Center in Kcynia, the Sanctuary of the Holy Cross in Kcynia, numerous mansions and palace complexes and World War I shelters (Dobieszewko). There are numerous places reminding us of the Wielkopolska Uprising.
Musical landmarks are the “Pałuki” Regional Band, the OSP Brass Band and the “Akatyst” Choir.
