Kędzierzyn-Koźle is OK!
Kedzierzyn-Kozle is surrounded by forests interspersed with bicycle paths. The paths, by the way, are also feeding the city center in increasing numbers, and they are regularly used not only by residents of the city but also of the entire Opole province. Moving around the city along main arteries, park alleys and picturesque forest paths is provided, among other things, by the OK bike city bike system! Users have at their disposal bicycles located at 14 points within Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Each of them can be used free of charge for the first 20 minutes.

We have it in the nature
The Gliwice Canal, Klodnicki Canal, and the Oder River flowing through the city create an extremely picturesque landscape, contributing to a great variety of flora and fauna, and the navigability of the Oder River provides opportunities for active leisure activities, such as participating in seasonal canoeing trips or Pływadło - a rafting trip of floating structures that cover the marathon distance of 42 kilometers separating Racibórz and Kędzierzyn-Koźle on the river in two days.

City of champions
Kedzierzyn-Kozle is the place where the history of Polish volleyball is written, it is the city of champions. ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle won the Champions League in 2021, 2022 and 2023, winning the title of Europe's best team in men's volleyball. An achievement all the more valuable because it was won for a Polish club after more than 40 years. ZAKSA is also a multiple Polish Champion and winner of the Polish Cup. An undeniable part of the team are also its fans, who have continuously supported the tricolors for a quarter of a century, creating one of the oldest fan clubs in Poland. The successes of the club are recalled by the permanent exhibition of the Kozielsk Land Society entitled "History of Kędzierzyn-Koziel Volleyball" located in the sports and entertainment hall on the Azoty estate, as well as a huge mural on one of the city's schools and a bronze pedestal in the Reconciliation Park.
If one adheres to the principle that results count in sports, Kędzierzyn-Koźle definitely stands on the podium. Outstanding athletes representing Poland in various disciplines come from here: Kamil Semeniuk, Bartłomiej Mróz or Kevin Metel. Because the city is alive not only with volleyball, while its showcase also includes achievements in athletics badminton and wrestling. For several years now, Kedzierzyn-Kozle has been actively participating in the competition for the Cup of the Bicycle Capital of Poland, all the more so as the number of cyclists using the city's growing network of bicycle paths increases every year. The city also has an interesting offer for runners. Amateurs of this form of activity have numerous forest paths and park alleys at their disposal, as the city is surrounded by green areas. Hundreds of participants compete throughout the season in the weekly parkrun series, the Running Grand Prix, the annual Goats Run or other numerous running events. Here great fun is also within reach of a paddle. Canoe trips are regularly organized in the city, and beautiful and comfortable marinas await watermen.

A Dose of Culture
Kędzierzyn-Koźle puts its faith in culture. We invite you to the International Festival of Independent Films "Publicystyka" and the National Review of Tourist Song and Sung Poetry "Wrzosowisko". Both events attract a wide range of film and music lovers. The youngest in seniority, the Nikolai of Kozle Festival takes music lovers all the way back to the Middle Ages, while the "Book Fair on the Oder River" is a great celebration of writers, publishers and, above all, people who love to read books.
