Muzeum Rolnictwa w Ciechanowcu

The Rev. Krzysztof Kluk Museum of Agriculture was established in 1962 on the initiative of the Ciechanowiec Lovers Society under the organizational leadership of Dr. Pawel Olszewski, a physician, and Kazimierz Uszynski, a teacher.

The museum is located in a palace and park complex from the mid-19th century (former property of the Starzeński family), rebuilt from war damage in 1966-1969.

The museum has eleven departments: Ethnographic, Historical, Rural Construction, Agricultural Technology, History of Plant Cultivation and Animal Breeding, Herbal Traditions, Art, Veterinary, Promotion, Collections, Library.

The Museum, on the basis of an agreement of understanding, is under the patronage of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The Museum cooperates with the Warsaw University of Technology and with many scientific and museum institutions in the country, such as the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Museum of Technology in Warsaw, and museums in Lomza and Bialystok.

The museum's collection numbers more than 34,000 exhibits (including more than 850 agricultural machines and tools), which are presented to visitors in 48 permanent exhibitions. The Mazovia-Podlasie Open-Air Museum houses 57 historic wooden architecture objects ( 18th - early 20th centuries), which are located in three complexes, with fully furnished interiors. The museum has outposts in Drewnow (windmill with miller's homestead), Dabrowa Lazy (windmill) and Winnie Chroły (Village School).

The Museum is the organizer of many interesting events of more than local scope, which have long traditions, these include "Palm Sunday - Easter Palm Contest", "St. Adalbert's Fair", "Podlasie Bread Festival", "Digging under the Windmill", "Kazimierz Uszynski Shepherd's Instruments Playing Competition" and others.

The museum is a Cultural Institution of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. The institution is also listed in the State Register of Museums of the Ministry of Culture.
