The Porąbka Commune is picturesquely situated in the valley of the Soła River, among the slopes of the Beskid Mały at the foot of the Żar Mountain. Territorially, it is located in the Bielsk County, Silesian Voivodeship. The commune consists of four villages: Bujaków, Czaniec, Kobiernice and Porąbka. There are many charming areas characterized by natural biodiversity in the commune. The beautiful surroundings consist of charming forest corners with places for rest and recreation, mountain peaks that can be climbed on marked trails, rivers, canals and streams, as well as larger water reservoirs. Noteworthy are the extensive forest areas under nature protection, such as the Beskid Mały Landscape Park and the "Zasolnica" Forest Reserve, where the old Carpathian beech forest is protected. Thanks to the ideal natural conditions in the Porąbka Commune, many residents are engaged in beekeeping. The Porąbka Commune has a traditional product, "Honeys from the Porąbka Commune", which was entered in 2017 on the List of Traditional Products kept by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Honeys from the Porąbka Commune strengthen the heart, soothe the nerves, revive the brain, heal wounds...

When choosing a hiking or cycling route, we encounter numerous natural specimens here - including impressive species of oaks, elms and Douglas firs - three of which have been recognized as natural monuments. In these parts, every tourist will find many attractions that promote well-being. The man-made water reservoirs and monuments with a rich historical past also make an extraordinary impression on this area.
