Gmina Strzelin

Strzelin commune is located on the border of the picturesque Strzelin Hills and Wrocławska Plain, which are part of the Sudeten Foreland. Strzelin Hills and the trails running through them have great tourist and recreational potential. The southern part of the commune is made up of forested hills with many water reservoirs. Great places for hiking, cycling and horseback riding. Strzelin Hills are full of tourist, natural and landscape attractions. Singletrack trails are available to cycling enthusiasts, which are eagerly used by the residents of Lower Silesia.

Local cultural monuments include: the Rotunda of St. Gotthard from the 12th century, the former Chapel of St. George from the 14th century, currently the Rock Gallery and Branch of the Strzelin Cultural Centre, the House of the Dukes of Brzeski, the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Strzelin, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary in Nowolesie. It is also worth visiting, among others. such places: Park Skalny, near the modernized PKP railway station building in Strzelin, where the Tourist Information Center is also located.

Without a doubt, the most important, historical event for Strzelin was the reconstruction of the Town Hall building in 2023. The town hall tower was rebuilt earlier. Strzelin Town Hall regained its appearance from before World War II and is currently the seat of the city and commune office. Tourist attractions include the historic cellars and interiors of individual storeys of the tower, along with a viewing terrace, where you can admire the beautiful panorama of the Strzelin Hills.
