Church of St. Saint Bartholomew

The turn-of-the-century brick church was built with the financial support of Cardinal George Koop, Archduke Albrecht, and Emperor Franz Joseph I. The temple was consecrated on September 2, 1901. In 1956, the church was expanded. Inside, attention is drawn to the bas-relief Stations of the Cross by František Wojarski, a folk artist from Koniakov Rupienka. In the side aisles hang two paintings, depicting the Wedding at Cana and the catch of fish in Lake Gennesaret, by Jan Czarnecki of Katowice.
The wooden ceiling, austere and beautiful in its simplicity, is decorated with motifs of Istevan embroidery, while at the very top of the main altar is a painting of Our Lady of Czestochowa, by Jan Wallach.
It is worth noting the beautifully vaulted chapel (to the left of the vestibule). It contains a stone mensa, above which we can see a bas-relief depicting the scene of the apparition of Our Lady at Fatima.
