The story of the Trojan horse in Homer's "Iliad" - what does it take to conquer and hold a fortress? During the course of the class, participants, divided into two groups will take on the roles of attackers and defenders. We will answer the question: how to defend Liwa Castle and what was the foray of Otto Warpechowski, who saved the castle during World War II.

Renaissance outfit - fashion and image in the Renaissance.
Portraits serve not only to depict the appearance of a character, they also carry a lot of interesting information. During the class we will learn about the symbolism of clothing, hairstyles and jewelry in Renaissance paintings. We will discover how fashion and image showed status, personality and taste in the Renaissance and design our own Renaissance costumes.

How were castles built in Mazovia? What did the castle have to consist of, what functions did it perform and where was it built? Participants will design their own castle, using a model of Mazovia and models of medieval fortresses and cities.

Liwa Castle invites you to the culinary festival In the Castle Kitchen on the Trail of Mazovian Princes, which will take place on June 29, 2025. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the publication of the cookbook by Marcjanna z Jawornickich Oborska (1784-1878), who was an heiress of Proszewo and the author of a valuable manuscript collection of culinary recipes that is an important source of knowledge about the life of the landed gentry and culinary in Eastern Mazovia and Podlasie. The festival is an excellent opportunity to taste regional dishes, learn about the culinary history of the 19th century, visit artisans' stands and admire handicraft demonstrations.
