Heroes with medals - symbols of honor and merit.
During the class, students will learn about the role of orders, medals and decorations as honors for special achievements and attitudes, and discover the importance of their symbolism in social and historical life. During the museum lesson titled Heroes for a medal - symbols of honor and merit, participants will also take part in practical project activities, developing creativity and manual skills.

Let's get to know the Mazovian prince Janusz I the Elder!
Prince Janusz I the Elder - one of the greatest rulers of Mazovia, initiator of the construction of Liwa Castle. Move with us to medieval Mazovia! Thanks to historical sources, graphics and descriptions you will get acquainted with the workshop of a historian.

Wednesday (January 21 and 28), 11:00 am
The Trojan horse - why a trick and how to conquer a fortress?
The story of the Trojan horse in Homer's "Iliad" - what does it take to conquer and hold a fortress? During the course of the class, participants, divided into two groups will take on the roles of attackers and defenders. We will answer the question: how to defend Liwa Castle and what was the foray of Otto Warpechowski, who saved the castle during World War II.

Thursday (January 22 and 29) at 11:00 am
Renaissance outfit - fashion and image in the Renaissance.
Portraits serve not only to depict the appearance of a character, they also carry a lot of interesting information. During the class we will learn about the symbolism of clothing, hairstyles and jewelry in Renaissance paintings. We will discover how fashion and image showed status, personality and taste in the Renaissance and design our own Renaissance costumes.

Friday (January 23 and 30), 11:00 am
About how Prince Janusz found Mazovia wooden and left it brick.
How were castles built in Mazovia? What did the castle have to consist of, what functions did it perform and where was it built? Participants will design their own castle, using a model of Mazovia and models of medieval fortresses and cities.

Classes Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. Duration 1.5 hours. They are intended for school-aged children (from the age of 7). Participation is free - the number of places is limited, participation is determined on a first-come, first-served basis.
