Yaroslavl's market square remembers the late Middle Ages. It was laid out on December 7, 1375 as a result of the relocation of the town. Its urban layout in an almost unchanged state has survived to this day, making it one of the most valuable market squares in Poland. An additional asset is the beautiful buildings of the market houses.
In recent years, the market has seen revitalization, thanks to which the entire surface was rebuilt, colorful fountains appeared, the outline of the now-defunct All Saints Collegiate Church and a skylight, inside which we can see the original stone road from the turn of the seventeenth and thirteenth centuries. Plant pots and lighting were installed to emphasize the qualities of the place, and elements of small architecture were placed, referring to the historical function of the city.
