From January 1st to June 30th, 2025, the exhibition pavilion of the Polish Army Museum at the Warsaw Citadel is closed. During this period, the Museum's spaces are used to organize key deliberations related to Poland's Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The Museum of the Polish Army collects and develops more than 350,000 exhibits - mainly military, but also works of art and memorabilia of figures important to the history of Poland and the world. These are relics that primarily tell the story of Poland's history, which has been depicted over the thousand years of our State's existence - from the times of the first Piasts and the baptism of Mieszko I to the present day and Poland's accession to NATO.

According to the decree of the Head of State Marshal Jozef Pilsudski of April 22, 1920. The Army Museum was established as "a temple of fame and a treasury of the immortal spirit of chivalry." Colonel Bronislaw Gembarzewski, an artist-painter, military historian and also director of the National Museum in Warsaw, became the first director. The Museum of the Polish Army celebrates its 105th birthday this year and is one of the largest museums in Poland. It also has one of the more impressive collections of militaria in Europe, including armored vehicles, often specimens unique in the world.
