Description
The studio was built in 1922 from spruce beams, tall and spacious, and was used as a painting atelier during the artist's lifetime. It is located on the edge of a clearing, surrounded by a tall spruce forest. The interior is occupied by equipment, easels, and - most importantly - the artist's works: oil paintings, drawings, gouaches, prints of various subjects - landscapes, portraits, flowers, still lifes and religious compositions. It is currently a biographical museum.
At a distance of 40 meters from the studio stands Jan Wallach's wooden house. It dates from around 1865, rebuilt in 1911-1912, of log construction, with a shingled roof with a characteristic "wolf's-eye", abutments and "kozubki" in the gables. The entire site, including the buildings, is listed in the Register of Historic Places.
