Description
Jaworzynka - a village in Poland located in the Silesian province, Cieszyn county, Istebna municipality, within the historical borders of Cieszyn Silesia. Together with Koniakow and Istebna, it forms the Beskid Triple Village. A tourist destination with sightseeing qualities. Jaworzynka village is located in the Silesian Beskid in the valleys of the Black Sea basin streams - Krêzelka and Czadeczka and on the surrounding ridges. It borders Istebna to the north and Koniakow to the northeast. To the east and southeast it borders Slovakia through its proximity to Skalité and Czerne. In the west, on the other hand, it borders the Czech Republic through its proximity to the villages of Hrčava and Bukovec. Thus, the borders of three countries - Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic - converge in the southern part of the village. A hydrological curiosity of the area, is the Main European Watershed, which separates the drainage basins of the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea, running through Koniaków and Jaworzynka.
The centuries-old devotion of the local population to faith has resulted in seeing works by some of the most outstanding folk artists of the land in local temples. To this day, a wealth of folklore is nurtured in families, expressed in both traditional clothing and music. There is a folklore band in Jaworzynka, which cultivates old dances, songs and rituals, as well as folk bands reaching back to the sources of Carpathian music in their work. A valuable and recognizable handicraft for Jaworzynka is cross-stitch embroidery, which has been created in the homes of embroiderers for many years.
