Koniaków the highest village in the Silesian Beskid, located southwest of Zywiec and south of Vistula in the historical borders of Cieszyn Silesia, not far from Malopolska. Together with Istebna and Jaworzynka, it forms the so-called Beskid Triple Village. Koniaków is a place with beautifully situated viewpoints. From the top of Ochodzita Mountain there are views of the Tatra Mountains, Slovak Fatra, the Beskids, and the Czech Republic. While wandering through the village, one can delve into the history and culture of Koniakow land by admiring the wooden architecture, old cottages, museums, galleries, inns. The centuries-old devotion of the local people to their faith has resulted in seeing the works of the most outstanding folk artists of the land in the local temple. To this day, families cherish the richness of folklore, expressed both in traditional clothing and music. There are several folklore ensembles in the Koniaków area, which cultivate ancient dances, songs and rituals, as well as folk bands reaching back to the sources of Carpathian music in their work.
